Boeing engineer Sam Salehpour claimed last year that Boeing took shortcuts during 787 Dreamliner assembly process that placed "excessive stress on major airplane joints, and embedded drilling debris between key joints on more than 1,000 planes". John Barnett, a former quality control engineer, alleged that under production pressure, workers were installing substandard parts on the assembly line.
