India will conduct defence mock drills on May 7 to check preparedness amid tensions with Pakistan, and the drills aim to make civilians aware of wartime emergencies. People are expected to have an emergency kit handy that includes water, food, medicines, a flashlight, etc. They should also carry their ID proofs and be aware of evacuation routes and safe places.
