Gold has boiling point of 2808°C and melts at 1064°C. About 1,87,200 tonnes have been mined since beginning of civilisation. If all existing gold were made into 5‑micron wire, it could wrap around Earth 11.2 million times. Its high heat conductivity lets it quickly match body temperature. Estimates suggest world's oceans contain up to 20 million tonnes of dissolved gold.
