RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra announced the MPC's decision to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.5%. RBI proposed risk-based deposit insurance premium for banks, introduced changes to make lending easier and more flexible and announced measures to internationalise Indian rupee. RBI also raised IPO financing limit to ₹25 lakh per investor. RBI also amended gold and silver lending rules.
