Ahead of Assembly polls this year, BJP-led Centre made several announcements for Bihar, including establishment of a National Institute of Food Technology there. A Makhana Board will be established in Bihar to improve its production, processing and marketing. IIT Patna infrastructure will be expanded. Bihar will get greenfield airports and funds will be provided for Mithilanchal canal project.
