ICICI Bank withdrew its order setting a minimum monthly average balance (MAB) requirement of ₹50,000 for savings accounts in metro and urban areas. The new limit for such accounts is ₹15,000. For semi-urban and rural locations, revised minimum MAB is ₹7,500 and ₹2,500 respectively. Even after reducing the MAB requirements, ICICI Bank has still effected a 50% hike.
