The government has made it mandatory for companies to seek consent from audio-visual and digital media employees for overtime work beyond prescribed hours. Under the newly enforced Labour Codes, firms will have to pay at least double the normal wage rate for overtime work. Firms will also need to timely pay wages and issue appointment letters to all workers.
