All seven accused, including Pragya Thakur and Lt Colonel Prasad Purohit, were acquitted by a trial court in 2008 Malegaon blast case, in which six people died. The court said there was no proof Lt Colonel Purohit assembled the bomb or Pragya Thakur owned the bike allegedly used for blast. The court said UAPA couldn't be invoked in this case.
