As per the preliminary report, Air India Flight 171 crashed after both fuel cutoff switches flipped seconds after takeoff, shutting down the engines mid-air. At just 625 feet, pilots had no time to recover. Experts say switching to “cutoff” causes immediate engine flameout, typically used only after landing.
