The 'Make in India' initiative completed 11 years on September 25. Launched in the first year of the BJP government, it has pushed India towards atmanirbharta (self-reliance), PM Narendra Modi said. According to government data, 'Make in India' drew FDIs worth $667 billion in 2014-24. Additionally, Gross Value Added (GVA) of the manufacturing sector saw a decadal growth of 81%.
