US researchers have found a new class of attacks called 'pixnapping' that allows hackers to use any mobile app to leak any information that's visible on the phone's screen. Apps that have no permission from the phone's user can also be used to mount this attack, threatening lakhs of devices. No strategies have been developed yet to counter the attack.
