A calcium score test is a simple, non-invasive, simple CT scan that detects/measures calcified plaque that has built up in the coronary arteries, which may trigger heart attacks and stroke. While a higher score suggests greater risk, it doesn't mean an imminent heart attack. It just shows a probability that can be lowered with lifestyle changes at an early stage.
