Ectopic pregnancy, a case of which was recently reported in UP, is a type of pregnancy in which the foetus grows outside the uterus, most commonly in one of the fallopian tubes. According to the NHS (UK), it's not possible to continue this pregnancy and usually the foetus has to be removed using a medicine called methotrexate or an operation.
