Impeachment, initiated against Justice Yashwant Varma after burned cash was found at his Delhi home, is a process to remove a sitting judge of Supreme Court/High Courts from her/his office. Once appointed, judges can't be removed without Parliament's consent, followed by the President's order. At least 50 Rajya Sabha MPs and 100 Lok Sabha MPs must sign an impeachment motion.
