According to meteorologists, India can expect colder-than-usual winter this year due to La Niña. La Niña, also known as El Viejo or 'cold event', is a weather phenomenon that occurs in Pacific Ocean. During this phase, strong trade winds push warm surface waters from South America toward Indonesia, allowing cooler water to rise. It typically occurs once every four-five years.
