Lord Jagannath’s majestic chariot is called Nandighosa or Nandighosh. The chariot is an integral part of the festival, symbolizing the divine journey of Lord Jagannath in Odisha’s Puri. Nandighosh is also known as Garudadhwaja, Chakradhwaja and Kapidhwaja. During the Rath Yatra festival, Nandighosh, along with the chariots of Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra is pulled through the streets of Puri.
