Nobelitis, or "Nobel Disease", is when some Nobel laureates adopt unscientific or paranormal beliefs beyond their expertise after winning. The prestige can cause a false sense of infallibility, leading to endorsement of fringe ideas. Examples include Kary Mullis and Pierre Curie. Though not a medical condition, it shows even great minds can stray from scientific rigour.
