India has launched Operation Sagar Bandhu to send humanitarian assistance to Sri Lanka. The island nation is currently battling deadly floods and landslides triggered by Cyclone Ditwah, with over 56 people having already lost their lives. Announcing the mission, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that INS Vikrant and INS Udaygiri have handed over relief material at Colombo.
