Operation Shield is a civil defence exercise which will take place on May 31 from 5 pm onwards in J&K, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat and Chandigarh. It is aimed at enhancing and assessing civil defence preparedness against various threats like air raids, missile strikes and drone attacks. The exercise will include mock drills, blackouts, activation of hotlines, etc.
