The planetary health diet (PHD) is a sustainable eating plan designed to improve human health and protect the planet. Proposed by the EAT-Lancet Commission, it emphasises mostly plant-based foods such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, and nuts. It doesn't call for completely eliminating animal proteins but encourages consuming red meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and dairy in moderation.
