Enforcement Directorate (ED) got its first Interpol Purple Notice published on August 21 to alert global agencies about a trade-based money laundering network. It aims to alert law enforcement agencies in 196 Interpol member countries about the modus operandi, equipment, and concealment methods being used by criminal groups. Interpol also issues red notice to locate & arrest wanted persons.
