Section 80 of BNS addresses death of woman under unnatural circumstances within 7 years of marriage, provided there is evidence of harassment/cruelty related to dowry demands. Punishment ranges from seven years to life imprisonment. However, dowry harassment (without death) can still be prosecuted after seven years under Section 498A if there is evidence of continuous harassment.
