The Made-in-India Akash missile defence system was used by Indian Armed Forces in foiling Pakistani attacks. It's a medium-range, surface-to-air missile system that provides area air defence against multiple air threats to mobile, semi-mobile and static vulnerable forces and areas. It can eliminate threats including uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs), fighter jets and cruise missiles.
