Indian airlines are facing crores of rupees in additional costs due to a spate of recent hoax bomb threats forcing flight diversions, TOI reported. The total cost of one hoax threat includes fuel dumping, unscheduled landing charges, accommodation for passengers, grounding of aircraft, and crew replacements. This is expected to cost the airline ₹3 crore to ₹20 crore per flight.
