Ex-Union Minister Dayanidhi Maran sent a legal notice to media baron Kalanithi Maran, alleging the latter unlawfully gained control over Sun TV Network. Dayanidhi alleged his elder brother's fraud gave him Sun TV's 60% ownership overnight by paying ₹1.2 crore for shares worth ₹3,500 crore. He claimed Kalanithi used crime proceeds to fund Kal Airways, Sun Pictures and Kal Radio.
