Astronauts Nichole Ayers and Commander Takuya Onishi recently collected blood samples from crewmates while on board the ISS for the Immunity Assay study. "Immunity Assay aims to monitor cellular immune functions in blood samples of space station crew members during their mission," NASA stated. It added that this can help maintain and protect astronauts' health during long-duration space missions.
