Domestic telecommunication operators have rolled out SMS suffixes that will appear before the sender's name to help mobile users identify genuine messages from spam. The suffixes are 'P' for promotional, 'S' for service-related, 'T' for transactional and 'G' for government communications suffix system on SMS headers, according to the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) Director General.
