Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder that affects brain and nerves and causes a person to make sudden involuntary movements or sounds called tics. Motor tics involve body movements, like eye blinking or shoulder shrugging while vocal tics involve voice, like sniffing or throat clearing. There's no cure for this condition, however, medication and behavioural therapy may help control tics.
