In ketogenic or keto diet, main source of calories is fatty foods- between 75% and 90%, with only 10% to 20% of calories coming from protein and 5% from carbohydrates. The logic this theory uses is that by eating so much healthy fats, body begins to rely on fat for energy, burning away fat stores instead of sugar for fuel.
