Independent Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal asked what was the need for then CJI Sanjiv Khanna to forward report on Justice Yashwant Varma to the government. "He may have forwarded it, but he didn't say...the judge is guilty," Sibal stated. Sibal added there are no facts to go by other than burnt cash which was found at Justice Varma's residence.
