J&K CM Omar Abdullah reacted to a mob breaking a national emblem engraving on a plaque installed at Srinagar's Hazratbal Shrine. "I've never seen the emblem being used in any religious function. So, what was the compulsion to have the emblem on the stone at [the mosque]," said Abdullah. A National Conference leader said the emblem "goes against" Islamic belief.
