Shubman Gill came out to bat on the second day of the Eden Gardens Test. He swept a ball from Simon Harmer for four and was in visible pain. He left the ground, did not resume batting, and eventually had to be hospitalised. The BCCI has now confirmed that Gill will take no further part in this Test.
