As part of Israel's plan to take control of Gaza, the country adopted some principles. Israel plans to disarm Hamas, return all hostages - dead or alive, and demilitarise the Gaza Strip. Israel also plans to establish an alternative civil administration in Gaza that is neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority.
