As US issued a notice on 25% penalty tariffs on Indian exports that will come into effect on Wednesday, certain sectors remain exempted from them. The sectors which have been exempted include some automobiles or auto parts, iron, steel, aluminium, copper and its products, pharmaceuticals and electronics, including iPhones assembled in India. The total tariff applicable on India is 50%.
