An employer can deny their employees' sick leave in some situations which usually depend on the company's policies. If an employee fails to provide a mandated doctor's note for a certain number of sick leaves, the employer can cancel them. Sick leave may also be denied if the employer suspects it's being abused, like frequent requests before weekends or holidays.
