Eight royal jewels spanning two centuries were stolen from Paris' Louvre Museum. They belonged to Empress Eugénie (wife of Napoleon III), Queen Hortense (mother of Napoleon III), Queen Marie-Amélie (wife of Louis-Philippe), and Empress Marie-Louise (wife of Napoleon I). The stolen items included tiaras, earrings, necklaces, and brooches featuring diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, and pearls.
