Mangaluru has been ranked as the safest city in India, according to the latest Numbeo Safety Index mid-2025 rankings. This is followed by Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Navi Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Pune and Chandigarh. Hyderabad, Mumbai, Lucknow, Kolkata, Indore, Gurugram, Bengaluru, Noida, Ghaziabad and Delhi have been ranked in the bottom 10.
