IIT Delhi ranked first among Indian universities and 205th globally as per QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026. It was followed by IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur with a global rank of 235, 236, 305 and 310 respectively. IIT Roorkee and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) were next in the list with global rank of 352.
