Actress Navya Nair was fined ₹1.14 lakh at Melbourne International Airport for carrying a 15 cm string of jasmine. Fresh flowers are on Australia's biosecurity list of banned items. Some other items that are banned include fresh fruits and vegetables, plants and seeds, rice, whole eggs for human consumption and homemade food. Pet food and treats are also not allowed.
