Switzerland has topped the list in IMD World Competitiveness Rankings 2025. It is followed by Singapore, Hong Kong, Denmark, UAE, Taiwan, Ireland, Sweden, Qatar and Netherlands. India has been ranked 41st. IMD World Competitiveness Center said an economy's competitiveness cannot be reduced to GDP, productivity, or employment levels, adding that it is also synonymous with people's quality of life.
