As per AIIMS-Delhi cancer specialist Dr Abhishek Shankar, who collaborated on a global study on cancer incidence and risk factors, obesity and diabetes are two major risk factors for cancer in India. Tobacco use, high incidence of infections like HPV, Hepatitis B and H Pylori are also some risk factors, along with high levels of pollution.
