Kolkata emerged as India's most congested city in 2024 with average travel time per 10km being 34:33 minutes, according to TomTom Traffic Index. Bengaluru ranked second with travel time for 10km of 34:10 minutes, followed by Pune (33:22 minutes), Hyderabad (31:30 minutes) and Chennai (30:20 minutes). Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Ernakulam ranked sixth, seventh and eighth.
