Donald Trump's 100% tariffs on pharma imports aren't applicable for firms that already have or are building manufacturing units in US. According to NDTV Profit, major Indian pharma companies like Cipla, Dr Reddy's Laboratories and Lupin already have manufacturing facilities in the US, potentially exempting them from tariffs. Bengaluru-based Biocon has also commissioned its US manufacturing unit.
