Mizoram, which had achieved "full literacy" status, is ranked top among Indian states with 98.2% literacy rate, according to Periodic Labour Force Survey 2023-24. It is followed by Lakshadweep with 97.3% literacy rate and Nagaland with 95.7% literacy rate. Kerala has 95.3% literacy rate, while Meghalaya has 94.2% literacy rate. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh has the lowest literacy rate of 72.6%.
