Several Indian states were placed on high alert after a car exploded near Red Fort in Delhi, killing at least eight people. Security has been tightened across Delhi and NCR cities. All UP districts are on alert, and security has been increased at sensitive religious sites. Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Maharashtra and Bihar are also on high alert.
