One of the front-runners to succeed Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, is his second son, Mojtaba Khamenei. According to reports, Mojtaba has played a significant role in policy decisions for last 27 years. Alireza Arafi, Khamenei's close confidante, could also succeed him. Others reportedly seen as his successors are Hashem Hosseini Bushehri and Reza Pahlavi, son of Iran's last monarch.
