An Indian-origin researcher, Akshay Jagadeesh, has joined OpenAI as a research resident, where he will focus on "safety research and AI for health". Jagadeesh did a PhD in Computational Neuroscience and Psychology from Stanford University, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He also held research assistant positions at the University of California, among others.
