Nimisha Priya, who will reportedly be executed on July 16 in Yemen, was born in Kerala to daily wage labourers and moved to Yemen in 2008 to work as a nurse. She opened a medical clinic in Sana'a in 2015. Nimisha was convicted of killing Yemeni national Talal Mahdi, who had allegedly physically assaulted her and confiscated her passport.
