Tommy Genesis, who has been criticised for purportedly dressing as a Hindu goddess and licking a crucifix in the music video for her song 'True Blue', is an Indo-Canadian rapper. She is of Malayali-Tamil and Swedish descent. Also known as Genesis Yasmine Mohanraj, she graduated from the Emily Carr University of Art and Design and started recording rap in 2013.
