Sajjan Kumar was a three-time MP from Congress and represented the Outer Delhi seat. He resigned after being convicted in 2018 in connection to a case linked to anti-Sikh riots of 1984. Survivors claimed Kumar paid ₹100 and a bottle of liquor to the attackers. On Tuesday, he got life imprisonment in another case linked to the riots.
